At Lapa Rios you will find luxurious accommodations. All 14 spacious thatched bungalows have ocean views and are hidden within the rain forest. Guests feel part of the outdoors as tropical breezes pass through screened windows. A romantic setting with two queen size beds, each bungalow has a private deck and garden shower, interior tiled bathrooms with solar heated water and two wash basins set in Cristobal wood. Lapa Rios offers a wilderness adventure few ever experience; miles of private, uncrowded trails in prime rain forest, cool rivers wild with pools and waterfalls and safe, unspoiled, sandy beaches. Guests can watch a continuous parade of birds, butterflies and animals including all 4 species of monkeys native to Costa Rica. All rain forest tours are conducted by trained naturalist guides. Also offered are; kayaking, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, hiking in nearby Corcovado National Park, mangrove river and tropical garden tours. For relaxation there are massages not to mention the dining facilities. Lapa Rios serves food and beverages not usually offered in the wildness. Our excellent chefs combine fresh fruits and vegetable with local fish, chicken and meat to provide delicious, hearty meals with a tropical flavour. Although remote (no phones) they have received outstanding reviews from some of the worlds most acclaimed Newspapers, magazines and travel guides. An experience like no other.
